ACMC offers two computer classes

With health information and medical records now online, it is important to have basic computer skills. Ashtabula County Medical Center is offering two computer classes to help you learn to connect with your electronic medical records.

On March 10th, ACMC will host a free class on how to sign up and use MyChart. This ACMC and Cleveland Clinic electronic medical record lets you:

  • View your health summary, current medications, and test results as released by your physician
  • Review past and upcoming appointments, as well as request and cancel appointments
  • Receive important health reminders
  • Request prescription renewals
  • Notify providers of changes to mail or email address

This class will be at noon on March 10th in the Lewis Building Training Center (basement), and space is limited. To sign up for the class, call 440-997-6555.

ACMC will also host three basic computer classes for anyone 55 and older starting in April. The classes will be from 3 to 4 p.m., Thursdays in the Lewis Building Training Center (basement). You must sign up for the entire series of classes. The classes are free.

The goal is to help seniors unfamiliar with computers learn the basics of using a computer, how to access information on the Internet, how to create and save documents in Microsoft Word, how to send that information to others via email, and how to access MyChart.

There will also be an opportunity to ask questions about other computer concerns.

There will be more computer basic classes offered in the future.

To sign up for the free classes, phone 440-997-6555.
