11th Annual Women’s Heart Health Luncheon

Take advantage of free health screenings, and shop with local vendors as part of this special event during American Heart Month. The ACMC Women’s Heart Health Luncheon is the premiere celebration of heart health in Ashtabula County with more than 300 attendees each year.

The keynote speaker is Cleveland Clinic Cardiologist Perry Fleisher, MD. Dr. Fleisher’s specialty interests include treatment of heart failure/heart attack, general cardiology, nuclear cardiology, and interventional cardiology. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology, and Interventional Medicine.

Dr. Fleisher will speak about metabolic syndrome, which is the group of risk factors including diabetes, obesity and stroke, and its connection to heart disease. Dr. Fleisher will focus on women’s heart health and the specific risk factors that make heart disease a leading cause of death for women. He will also offer preventative steps you can take to lessen your risk for heart disease and how to live heart-healthy lives.

The 11th Annual Women’s Heart Health Luncheon starts at 10:30 a.m. as doors open for attendees to visit with vendors from the community. Lunch will be served at noon followed by Dr. Fleisher’s presentation. There will also be door prizes and raffles. The Women’s Heart Health Luncheon will end by 1:30 p.m.
