Ashtabula County Medical Center invites you to celebrate women’s heart health at the 11th Annual Women’s Heart Health Luncheon Feb. 6 at The Lodge at Geneva State Park.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States for both men and women, and Ashtabula County ranks higher than the national and state averages for heart disease-related deaths.
The special luncheon will also feature a variety of heart and lung health screenings, a bone density test and more. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. for attendees to visit with vendors from the community. All of them are health-related or offer unique jewelry, clothing, food, or gift items.
At noon, the luncheon and a strolling fashion show begins featuring clothing from local retail stores. The meal includes low-fat chicken salad, soup, beverages, and a special dessert. Attendees with special dietary restrictions must request an alternate meal at the time of registration.
There will also be door prizes and raffles.
The Women’s Heart Health Luncheon will end at 1:30 p.m.
Tickets for the event are $15 each or $25 for two people who are attending together. Seating is limited to 300. Registration and pre-payment are due by Jan. 28 by calling 440-997-6555. Online reservations and payment can be made by going to www.acmchealth.org and clicking “Sign Up” in the upper right corner. No tickets will be sold at the door.
