Ashtabula, OH – The ACMC Healthcare System has hired Geneva resident Jacquelyn DiFiore, RN, MSN, MHA, NEA-BC, as its new Chief Nursing Officer.

DiFiore will be responsible for managing nursing practice and administration, education, and professional development for Ashtabula County Medical Center and The Ashtabula Clinic, ACMC’s employed medical group. She will also collaborate with leaders across the ACMC Healthcare System on patient experience initiatives and to ensure the highest quality of care.

“Jacquelyn will be a great addition to the ACMC Healthcare System’s executive team,” said president and CEO Michael Habowski. “Her leadership experience in various nursing departments, as well as her tenure within the Cleveland Clinic system and participation on a variety of enterprise-wide project teams, makes her a valuable resource for our nurses, physicians and other caregivers. She has a strong commitment to patient safety, patient satisfaction and strengthening relationships between nursing and physicians.”

DiFiore has been with Euclid Hospital since 1996, serving as Staff Nurse, Nurse Manager of ICU, and most recently as Director of Acute Care Nursing.

“Jacquelyn embodies Cleveland Clinic’s Patients First philosophy,” said Kelly Hancock, DNP, RN, NE-BC, Executive Chief Nursing Officer of the Cleveland Clinic health system. “She is an advocate for the profession of nursing and will work collaboratively with nursing, physicians and all caregivers to maintain the high standards and high quality of care patients receive at ACMC.”

“Ashtabula County residents are so fortunate to have a hospital of ACMC’s caliber,” said DiFiore. “Being able to lead the profession of nursing in my community is an opportunity of a lifetime. I’m looking forward to working with the great team of leaders and front line caregivers in the ACMC Healthcare System.”

DiFiore has received numerous recognitions throughout her career with Cleveland Clinic, including Nursing Excellence Award in 2010 and 2013, Caregiver Award in 2011 and Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013.  She received her Diploma in Nursing from Huron School of Nursing, and earned her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing as well as her Master of Health Administration from the University of Phoenix.

DiFiore lives in Geneva and is actively involved with Catholic Charities of Ashtabula County as a guardian.
