ACMC cuts ribbon at Geneva Family Health Center
Ribbon Cutting

Ashtabula County Medical Center officially opens the Geneva Family Health Center on Monday, June 6, but guests at Thursday’s ribbon cutting got a preview of the newly-renovated offices. The Geneva Family Health Center is located at 1028 S. Broadway Street, in the Colonel’s Plaza, directly across from the US Post Office and next to KFC.

“The citizens of Geneva have told us how excited they are to have Geneva Family Health Center opening in their community,” said ACMC Healthcare System President & CEO Michael Habowski. “We are here to help meet the health needs of this community, so more people can receive care closer to home.”

Geneva Family Health Center features primary care access with Family Physician Emily Cheich, DO, as well as ACMC Express Care and laboratory services. In addition, Orthopaedic Surgeon Amar Mutnal, MD; Pulmonologist Sanjay Srivastava, MD, Surgeon Evangelos Bibidakis, MD, and Urologist Craig Zippe, MD, will see patients in Geneva. In the upcoming months, Cardiology consultations will also be offered at Geneva Family Health Center.”

ACMC Express Care will be open in Geneva Monday through Saturday, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. ACMC also operates Express Care locations in Ashtabula, Conneaut, and Jefferson. Express Care is a walk-in clinic for minor illness and injury, including things like: sprains and strains; rashes; sinus, urinary tract, upper respiratory and ear infections; shingles; minor cuts; seasonal allergies; insect bites; and influenza.

In addition to being a convenient walk-in service in four locations throughout the County, Express Care is a low-cost option. Co-pays at ACMC Express Care are similar to those of a physician office visit, and under most insurance plans, the co-pays and overall cost of the visit is less than what a patient will pay at an urgent care center or the Emergency Department.

Walk-in lab services at Geneva Family Health Center are open to all members of the community, regardless of whether they become patients of the center.
